Sunset at Qutub Minar

Sunset at Qutub Minar

The sun goes down between the ruined walls of Quwwat ul Islam mosque. It was the first mosque built in Delhi after the Islamic conquest of India. It was built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, founder of the Mamluk or Slave dynasty.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site is in the utter stage of negligence by the Archaeological Survey of India. The love birds climb up the fragile walls and get their “cute” pictures clicked, besides craving their names on it. The caretaker guards move around holding each other’s hand as if they are competing with teens, married and middle aged men and women who cannot find a motel to get more cozy with.
